Qty: 3 – Lochinvar Knight XL condensing high efficiency boilers (KBN501-M13 / 500,000 BTU input each)

Project Summary:

This project was completed in the fall of 2013, and consisted of three Lochinvar Knight XL condensing high efficiency boilers (KBN501-M13 / 500,000 BTU input each).

After the boilers were selected for the project, the contractor noticed that the building lost most of its system volume from the removal of the older boilers, and the building had a number of micro-zones throughout the building.

To accommodate for the loss of the volume, the contractor installed one Lochinvar Squire Buffer Tank (model SBT080 / 80 gallon capacity). The buffer tank will eliminate the boilers from short cycling, which will ultimately save energy consumption.
